Kyle Lambelet
Hi, I’m Kyle Lambelet. Currently rhizome studios is a one person shop, though I frequently collaborate with other designers and friends.
I’ve been engaged in social change work since college when I was involved in student organizing against the war in Iraq. Since then, I’ve worked for several social change organizations, from the Open Door Community in Atlanta, Georgia to the Beloved Community Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Along the way I’ve picked up not only a knack for organizing and agitation, but also honed my capacity for web and graphic design. Fluent in CSS and HTML, I make use of Adobe design programs as well as WordPress for the web. I value crisp, functional web design in the web 2.0 style and print design that is easy to read and aesthetically clear.
Given my belief that we are all connected and indebted to one another, a few friends are worth mentioning. Marcus Rosentrater has taught me most of what I know about web design and the veteran organizers at the Beloved Community Center and the Fund for Democratic Communities taught me much of what I know about organizing and democratic social change. Additionally, Gigi Burkhalter has been a delightful collaborator on several projects.
